QUEST ON OLD BOOKS EXHIBITION

Todo un lujo la muestra de libros antiguos que con motivo del DÍA DEL LIBRO 2016 exhibe nuestro IES ALHAKEN II. Aprovechando su presencia hemos querido que algunos grupos de alumnos la visitaran. Hemos querido plantearla como una “WEB QUEST” dirigida a los aventajados alumnos de 2º “A/B” Bilingüe de forma que se sacara partido doble a la actividad por un lado el conocimiento de ejemplares inéditos y antiguos y por otro lado el aprendizaje y refuerzo en Inglés. 

Los alumnos disfrutaron de ejemplares del siglo XIX, diarios personales que se cierran justo cuando empieza la guerra civil, ejemplares fotográficos de nuestra tierra y de otras, revistas y publicaciones de los años de la posguerra y del desarrollismo de los 60, ejercicios escolares de dibujo, enciclopedias escolares, ejemplares antiguos de El Quijote, microscopios y cámaras del siglo pasado…Todo ello pasando por todas las áreas del conocimiento Idiomas, Geografía, Historia, Geología, Botánica, Matemáticas…

A continuación pasamos a desarrollar la actividad que los alumnos realizaron con motivo de la exposicion. Se trata de una gymkana o quest en la que cuatro grupos tenían que resolver preguntas relativas a los libros expuestos. Cada mesa de la exposición se denomina “stall” y cada grupo desarrolla sus pesquisas en cada uno de dichos “stalls”. 

GROUP 1
1.-Establish the criteria to group the books.
2.-State what the topics of every stall are.
3.- Focus on the Maths stall: What are the oldest books about?
4.- What strikes you the most in the Maths stall?
5.-What are the worksheets on display about?
6.-Is there a book on a different language? Which one?
7.-Design two questions on stall 4 ( languages)   and stall 4
( Science)

GROUP 2
1.-What is the topic of stall 2?
2.-There are some drawings on display, what are they about? They are birdviews on………………
3.-Can you see any river that you know?
4.-What are the techniques employed in the pictures?
5.- Can you enlist the objects that you can see?
6.-What strikes you the most abou the stall?
7.-Enlist the differences between old and modern books.
8.- Design two questions on stall 4 ( languages) and stall 4
( Science)

GROUP 3
1.-What is the topic of stall 3?
2.- Enlist the authors from Córdoba that you can see.
3.-Establish the differences between today´s and old books.
4.-What strikes you the most in the stall?
5.- Sport a book on HOUSEHOLD. What is the topic this book deals with?
6.-Spot the book “El primer manuscrito”. What level is the book addressed to? Is it sensible?
7.-Spot the book “La niña bien educada”. What is the book about?. What is book´s genre?
8.- Design two questions on stall 4 ( languages) and stall 4
( Science)

GROUP 4 (ROUND STALL)
1.- Read the extract “El río”…what strikes you the most about the reading?
2.- Enlist the Nobel Prizes´ names you see.
3.- Spot the magazine “Los amigos de Marisol”. Who is Marisol?. What is the name of the magazine?. What was the purpose of the magazine?
4.-“Enciclopedia escolar”… what is it? Can you see the name of any of them? Describe the picture at the front. In your opinion, why is that kind of picture there?
5.- Spot the page on “Spanish important and distinguished Romans of the time”. What strikes you the most on the page?
